This service also works well for rooms that are a lower priority for big changes or in a second home that simply needs brightening up.

  • In a single or multiple room refresh, you should expect a study of the floor plan to ensure that changes, even if modest, incorporate a study of balance, harmony and scale. MakeNest’s recommendations will honor the room as it is, while breathing fresh life into it and, as requested, factor in changing needs of the space.

  • Changes recommended in a refresh may be as simple as different lighting, a new rug and paint color. Or your refresh could entail one key new furniture piece and the addition of drapery panels. Sometimes, a design refresh is as much about what is removed or reinterpreted as what is added. Discussion at the beginning of the project will ensure that we are on the same page. If we believe that your goals would be better served by a more robust design approach, we will discuss those options with you early in the process.

  • One factor that makes a refresh more appealing to some clients is that it can be a less expensive approach than a more extensive transformation. As with all projects, cost can vary widely. The new elements needed for a single room refresh could be between $10-15k, based on your desires for the room or rooms, the scale of the space, and what we can work with, already in place.
