CREATING
COMFORTABLE
SPACES

Since 2004, our mission at MakeNest Interiors has been to create functional spaces that make it easier for clients to be happy, comfortable, and inspired.

Each project is crafted thoughtfully to ensure that balance, scale, and harmony are perfected through space planning and material selections. We use color, texture, and pattern to create unique rooms and reflect the people who live and work within them.

Most importantly, because we work with trusted makers and local artisans, we’re able to provide lasting quality and beauty to match our vision for your project. Our guiding principle is creating joyful, honest, and fearless designs.

PROCESS

Through virtual conversations and in-person house calls, we gather detailed site information, discuss your desired outcome, outline goals, and estimate design costs in a scope of work document, allowing us to be fully transparent every step of the way.

Once the scope of work is approved, we further craft our concept, create renderings and specifications, research the best options, and select materials—this is where the design challenges are solved and our creativity shines.

After we’ve finalized our design concepts, we meet with you to provide tactile and visual aids and discuss our proposed ideas. Your project will be viewable in a personalized digital hub so that you can reflect on the design after we meet.

Once you’re ready to invest in our design, we place your orders with our makers and workrooms. We track all orders to ensure a timely installation and consult with each contractor to confirm that our vision is created to our exact specifications.

YOUR DESIGNER

My design journey began at age seven, when I started rearranging my room to try new ideas. I remember how cosmopolitan I felt when I discovered kitty-cornering - and how gauche I felt years later when my first design professor railed against it. After twenty years in the design profession, I have found a sometimes illusive wellspring for creatives: intuitive confidence. I know how to put things together uniquely and stylishly while still solving real life challenges. This means listening to make sure my ideas provide lasting comfort. And it means using all that I’ve learned along the way to create designs that are joyful, honest, and fearless.
